Get up to speed with ASP.NET AJAX by building a simple Virtual Earth mashup. In the third part of this series we talked about asynchronous calls to the server, which are the essence of Ajax development. ASP.NET AJAX lets the developer write less (and consistent) code by providing a framework that hides the details of the XmlHttpRequest object behind a client API.
